Once again, Donald Trump has demonstrated that there is no limit to how low he is willing to go.
Our sorry excuse for a president is in France right now to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. Yesterday, November 10, 2018, he was scheduled to visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial, near the site of the 1918 Battle of Belleau Wood.
Trump bailed on the event because there was rain in the forecast.
More than 2,000 Americans soldiers are buried there. These are true heroes, men who fought in hellish conditions and made the ultimate sacrifice.
But because of some rain, Trump decided to scorn their sacrifice, reminding us once again that he is a man with no respect for America, for America’s history, or for America’s veterans, both living and dead.
If Obama had done something like this, it would have been the lead story of Fox News for weeks. Yet in Trump’s case, many conservatives, in their hypocrisy, will look the other way.
This incident, sadly, is but a small example of the type of conduct that has become all too normal in Trump’s ongoing onslaught of depravity.
